Professor Ranjan Ramasamy is an Sri Lankan born Australian academic and scientist. A Professor of Immunology and Biochemistry, he was the Chairman of the National Science Foundation of Sri Lanka. [1]

Educated at the prestigious Royal College Colombo and at The Perse School, he went on to gain a BA in Natural Sciences from the University of Cambridge and a PhD also from the University of Cambridge. He was married to the late Professor Manthri Samaranayake Ramasamy who he had met at Cambridge. He has two daughters Maheshi and Radha. [2]
